Celebrating all Religious Traditions and Spiritual Paths

No matter what we call the Divine Source, it is the highest form of love, peace and wisdom being infinite and by nature incomprehensible. The universe reflects the Divine Presence – The All -  through its many wonders, its myriad of forms and the great diversity we see in our many religious traditions and spiritual paths.  We are interfaith in perspective, embracing the belief that the message of unconditional love has been shared with the world’s different cultures and peoples throughout the ages resulting in our many religious traditions.  Embracing this diversity of expression allows us all to be enriched  and  to gain a greater understanding of the Divine in the world around us and within us.  We express this with the phrase, “The Paths are Many, the Truth is One, Love Thy Neighbour.”

We believe that we are Spirit and that as such we possess natural gifts of intuitive and psychic vision which are the birthright of every human soul. We reject fear and believe that hatred and intolerance have no place within spiritual and religious practice. We recognize the power of thought to shape the world that we live in and celebrate the purposefulness of free will as we create our own life experiences and learn from our joys and challenges. As we understand more about spirituality and the nature of being human, we understand more about our personal responsibility in affecting the universe through our thoughts.  Spirituality is about our relationship to the God Source and our personal choices, all of which affect us and the world in which we live.

We are Interfaith - Interspiritual in Perspective

Our  Ministry is interfaith in perspective and encourages participation by persons  from all faiths and traditions. At any meeting or service, you may find  Christian Priests, Ministers, Jewish Rabbis, Hindu Swamis, Sikhs, Buddhist Lamas, Jain Monks, Spiritualist Ministers, Native Medicine Men and others sharing the platform. Most people attending our services and activities bring to them their connection to their own faith and traditions. If one phrase reflects the nature of the Ministry it is: The Paths are Many, the Truth is One: Love the Neighbour.

We are a community, not a religion. The ministry is neither a sect nor a cult, nor part of a particular world religion. We have created no dogmas or creeds and give place to no single figure or sole religious authority in matters of faith. We arose out of a need to promote an atmosphere of informed and free thought and  enquiry where individuals could explore their understanding of Spirity and Spirituality.

Another valuable service the Interfaith Ministry performs is the validations of people's experiences with Spirit and the psychic world. As a community, we are strong, not only because of the things which we believe in common, but also because of the differences in our individual understanding.

There are a number of common denominators which unite us in the Interfaith - Interspiritual Ministry. One is our desire to eliminate intolerance and prejudice in spiritual practice. Another is our readiness to testify to the reality of the Spiritual world and of  the subtle faculties of psychic and Spiritual vision through which it may be perceived. Our activities help people find their own personal understanding and proofs as to the reality and nature of Spirit and the Spirit world.

Our Unifying Principles

As a community, members of the Interfaith Ministry embrace a number of principles which we believe to be universal in nature.

OIIM is inclusive in nature and welcomes persons of all traditions. We understand the Divine  Source - the ALL to be infinite and incomprehensible.  We believe that it is only natural that an infinite God should manifest the message of unconditional love in many ways to many peoples. There is one Divine Spark but it is a manifest its truth through many traditions and has many faces. We celebrate the many faces of the God-Source represented by different religious and spiritual traditions and express this truth with the phrase, "The paths are many, the truth is one. Love thy neighbour."
